As a non-profit organization, our funding is mainly through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS). However, OCL realized there was still a need to acquire additional funding to allow the agency to continue to enrich the lives of those we serve, and the opportunity to extend our resources to those within the community in need of services. In 1993, Lifeskills Ottawa Fund (LOF) was established as a registered charity.
Over the years, OCL has taken part in various fundraising initiatives, such as our annual golf tournament, Christmas raffle, applying to various grants etc. as a means to increase revenues to assist those that we support. It was through the successful application to different grants, that OCL was able to obtain additional funding to continue helping those with developmental disabilities.
