Ottawa Carleton Lifeskills (OCL) is a non-profit, transfer payment agency funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services mandated to provide services and support to developmentally disabled adults in our community.
Through the generous donations of the community to the Lifeskills Ottawa Fund, Ottawa Carleton Lifeskills is able to provide an enhanced quality of life for our residents. Our residents, who live mainly on a fixed income, have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities which would not have been possible if not for your generous donations.
These activities include:
- Transportation to increase the mobility of our residents who may not be able to access public transportation
- Additional equipment and facilities used for therapy, education and lifeskills training
- Supported recreational and social activities to encourage peer interaction and social contact
- Incentive awards to encourage our residents and their teachers to achieve excellence in lifeskills programs
- Additional lifeskills programs and residential programs for our clients whose housing, recreational and educational needs are not being met by the use of other community resources
Lifeskills Ottawa Fund is a registered charity, and we will happily provide you with a charitable receipt.
